Thanksgiving

We had a great time with Robin. Wednesday, on the way down, we shopped at A Southern Season in Chapel Hill and got lots of Maytag Blue Cheese (my fav). Then after we got to Robin's, we went to the World Market and got wine and glass jars and other assorted goodies.

Then on Thanksgiving we vegged out, sat around and read and ATE. We had pretty traditional fare, really yummy. Turkey, mashed potatoes, green beans, wonderful salad (pears, walnuts, Maytag blue cheese and baby greens) and apple pie & ice cream for dessert.

Friday we visited the special exhibition and the NC Museum of art. http://ncartmuseum.org/exhibitions/current.shtml

Landscapes from the Age of Impressionism. I didn't know what to expect. Sometimes a lot of landscapes can be kind of boring, but these were wonderful. Robin's favorite was a Charles Curran painting of three girls, all shades of white (On the Heights). It just glowed!

And while we were there, I had Zoe in my lap several times! All in all a very nice visit!
