YA (Young Adult) Books
I've been reading (and enjoying) some books from the Young Adult section of our local library. Listed in the order that I read them:
1. Stardust by Neil Gaiman - One of his gentler fantasies. Soon to be a movie, I think.
2. Airborne by Kenneth Oppel - A great adventure book. I was reminded of 'The Eyre Affair' in that the prevailing mode of transport was by Airship and not Airplane.
3. The Last Unicorn by Peter S. Beagle - Reminded me of some elements of the movie 'Legend' with Tom Cruise. Although, I think an animated version of 'The Last Unicorn' was made.
4. The Watsons go to Birmingham - 1963 Unlike the other books, this was not a fantasy. It was fictional, however. Very moving at the end.
